Monday is here, O no, time for work. Set out as usual around 6 am and got to the office before 8 am. Went to my temporary desk and bowed my head to cool of. Then someone asked me to go and give someone something upstairs. On my way back,I met the hr lady. She asked if I had gotten my computer and I promptly replied that I had not. She went to my H.od to have words with me. My H.od told me later that it would be ready by the end of this week, and I would have some responsibilities on it. Then i remembered someone in my unit say that she would teach me her own aspect which was fund accounting. I was excited and when I went to ask her, she said I should come back in three hours time. Saturday, yaaay!!!…so happy. Woke up around 2am and with a torchlight and my kindle, I was able to read a note on Sec Filings. This kindle is doing wonders for me oo, because as there was usually no electricity,I just brought out my kindle and started reading. The battery is awesome. I have charged it only once since I received it a week ago. The only downside is that it does not illuminate well. It is because I bought the normal kindle because I didn’t have money for the kindle paper white which has like a back light system or so. Anywaiz,I improvised and was able to read about the Us Sec Filings . I learned this throughout my study time:

Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus. That’ s all I have to say. Today, the 10th of July 2015, i could have lost my life, but by his grace, I am still alive. Let me tell you what happened to me. I finished from the office at around 5.15 pm, then made my way to enter a bus home. Please don’t get it twisted, it is not like those buses in the UK or USA where you would pre-load a card and upon entering the bus, you swipe on an electronic card reader. Today is thursday, ooo no, office time. I enjoyed cds the previous day eehn. I came home around 1pm and rested when I got home. But today I cant leave till 5oclock. Ooo no,this work thing needs some getting used to. So I got to the office 8.01, just a minute late but I dont clock in or use id since I have not been given one yet. Did the usual, cheque requisition forms and the rest, but someone in my unit decided to teach me how to draw up performance reports for the whole company. It was fun,but he was a bit too fast and I could not get how he formatted the excel worksheet for that. But I am determined to learn that excel. Crazy day today, Tuesday. Left home around 6.30,and my dad decided to drop me off at yaba to enter bus to my place of work. Then suddenly as we were passing by a one way route, there was an okada (motorcycle) coming the opposite way. We reached a pool of water and the motorcycle was speeding by, and he raised his legs up as if bewitched, in order to splash some water unto our car. I quickly dodged it, and was amazed it didn’t get to me. It was just the roof and the bottom of the side glass the water touched. Today is the beginning of a new chapter in my life. My first day as a working class citizen. Woke up a little tired, 6am to be precise, had my bath, wore my clothes and set out to take public transport to my place of work. On getting to obalende, I was dropped before the normal bus-stop and I missed the way. I panicked a little, but on asking around I was able to set myself right back on track. I got to the office around 7.30, waiting eagerly to impress my new colleagues; my hands were itching for some work.
